Welcome to The Castle Inn, a beautiful freehouse pub with boutique bedrooms with stunning views over the Georgian roof tops of the pretty town of Bradford on Avon & beyond to Salisbury Plain & the Westbury White Horse.
Just 7 miles from the historic city of Bath, The Castle is set in a characterful Georgian building & has traded as an Inn for some 160 years. Lovingly, sympathetically & imaginatively restored in 2007 The Castle has a playful eccentricity that is Cluedo country house meets traditional country pub.
From morning 'til night, The Castle is at your service, whether for morning coffee, light lunch, 3-course dinner or just a pint of local beer.
Internally the pub is essentially split into 2 areas with a total of 90 covers. The dominant features of the main bar area to the left of the entrance, with its flagstone floor & lime washed walls, are the magnificent reclaimed mahogany bar & large open fireplace. To the right of the entrance are three interconnecting rooms, with elm floorboards, fireplaces, exposed stone walls, gazelle heads, old gents club paintings, scrub top tables & comfortable, worn club chairs.
Externally is a large, sunny lawned garden with flagstone terrace & seating for a further 80 covers & magnificent far-reaching views towards Salisbury Plain.
